What is DataFM's BMail Messaging System? The DataFM BMail Messaging System is a unique multipoint messaging system that transmits short text messages of targeted information to demographically and/or geographically identified groups on unused bandwidth of FM radio stations. The system is excellent for use as an Emergency Warning System or a Tsunami Warning System. The resource is an Executive Summary that gives a basic overview of the technology.
What do the radio stations do? The DataFM system is based conforms to the broadcast standards of the RDS (Radio Data System) Standard which has been adopted by every country in the world. Messages are broadcast on unused subcarriers of FM radio stations under a protocol developed by DataFM.  The DataFM protocols and technology are protected by two U. S. Patents. The specialized DataFM network equipment is installed at the radio station transmitter site and provides the station with many additional broadcast benefits besides the DataFM messaging capabilities.
Is the BMail Messaging System expensive to use? The DataFM BMail technology is probably the most affordable way of creating and emergency, tsunami or public safety warning system. Since it is based on existing FM radio stations, there is no need for millions to be spent for towers, permits and other infrastructure items. A few pieces of DataFM equipment are installed at the transmitter site and the system is ready to use. Next, receivers are purchased and channels activated and the system is in operation.
